Spent the day buying all the lead we could carry, and hanging out with Dale Dye, the Perry Twins, and John Stoddard. What did you guys do?

Killed and/or ran away from and hid from zombies. In the rain. And the mud. Occasionally, for variety, I killed security guards, mad doctors and my zombie infected friends. While eating horrible granola bar rations restore my health (WORST LARP GAME MECHANIC EVER).
So, did you explain to the Perry's how much I need them to do a good mounted squire stand-in in plastic?

The Black Powder game with the Perry twins and John Stallard was a treat. The table was 20' x 5' and worked out to be two distinct Penisula battles. One battle was a relief force that could not manage to reach the other battle. Jim from the Huzzah Con and a player in my ECW BP game played in the battle.
I was extremely impressed by the flashing lights in the cotton balls used to mark firing. I'd seen these on the Warlords site but did not think much of them. BP proved itself a fun and light hearted system with enough detail to satisfy the players who all had brewskys in hand.
Rob would have loved seeing a small detachment of 95th holding back a French column while a nearby highland regiment fell back.
We also watched a BP battle featuring Pickett's Charge. This ACW battle was big with excellent figs and terrain and again proved BP can be tweeked to fit the gamemasters particular desires. The game gave each side a fighting chance and this time the Rebs broke the line and established a foothold in the center.
We saw sample figs of FOW France 1940 and peeked at the rulebook; all looked very good.

Yep, that would have been sweet! Well, maybe when the kids are a little older I'll make it down. Might be easier to sell now that they moved it to my birthday week. Rangerrob

Looks like an ACW battle. I'm gonna guess it's somewhere in the Carolinas.

Larry, Moe, and Curly. I'm not a proctologist, but I know an asshole when I see one.
