I thought it'd only be right for me to bring to your attention the problems of another gaming store within Maine, also the fact that it is a personal subject to me. In Farmington resided 'Mainely Magic', a trading card and war-gaming store which has been around for the last year and a half, mainly doing business with the college and locals within the area, I myself use to go there all the time.
I use to play Warhammer 40k a lot down there, and I constructed a gaming board for personnel use and for use down at the shop, allowing the store owner and his friends to use it while I was not there and in doing so storing it down at his shop. I invested a good amount of time and money into this gaming board, and I had just found out tonight that they ripped it apart and used it for their own purposes! The store owner told me that, "I had not been done in about a month, so he assumed that I would not mind in him using it". Might I add that at the time the owner of the store and I were not on good terms and that I am sure that he did this out of carelessness. Learning about this event has frustrated me severely and in all honesty what is done is done and there is nothing more I can do about it other than steer customers away from the store planning on setting some roots.
I found this news out tonight after asking if I could pick my board up this weekend so that I might bring it down to the Green house and see if we could use it for a North African setting (or for other games).
Anyway, thought I should share, see you all this weekend.
