Mad Cat Mk.II by "Rangerrob"

The Mad Cat MkII, produced by Iron Wind Metals. This puppy comes in 8 pieces; missile rack, two arms, torso, two legs, and the two feet. I decided to model this one as it was taking a step rather than putting both feet on the hexbase. I knew I was rolling the dice with the strength of one leg holding the weight of the whole mini. She has held up pretty well, but I did pin the legs to the hips for that added durability. I had some extra pieces of Fenrir Battle armor in my bits box, so I put one rear half embedded into the base, to give the illusion that the Mad Cat had just stepped on one.

Painted the Mech with a base coat of old Ral Partha Deep Forest Green, followed with a wash of Dark green, and a VERY light drybrush of yellow. This was one of my 95th Rifles themed mechs so he got the chosen man white band on the right arm. Then added a couple of House Davion water transfers. What pleased me the most of this mini was how the cockpit came out. I had only Jewelled a couple of minis before and I was still new to the process. Learning how to do "Jewelling" really can make your vehicles stickout on the battlefield.

This mech made quite a few appearances at the Greenhouse, and is believed to be cursed. The last four times she has hit the table head hits have taken her out of the game. There was the time Mitch was running this mech and in the first turn of the game got hit with two Gauss rifle rounds..first one hit the head, the guys asked where the second one hitand I rolled Boxcars (Head) again. Then there was the time Kyle shot at this mech as a secondary target using a rear mounted small pulse laserand critted the cockpit slot. So she just might be cursed.
